I Hate You Milk

Lactose intolerant and vegan?

But do they mean the same thing? Actually, no. Lactose- free foods are dairy products where the lactose has been removed, whereas dairy-free means there is no dairy at all—the food is made from plants or nuts. People who are vegan can still consume dairy as being vegan is a choice whereas lactose intolerant cant consume dairy as it causes digestive problems for them. It is not that these beverages have to be used in beverages only, nut milk can be used in a lot of ways: As creamers for coffee or tea, to make smoothies or milkshakes, for sauces, for baked goods, in cereals or dessert or just to drink as a substitute for milk. Different types of milk for lactose intolerant Cashew Milk Almond Milk Soy Milk Walnut Milk Coconut Milk These milks reduce inflammation so its very good for your gut. Pea Milk is the newest addition to the non dairy food list, which is 100% vegan, lactose and gluten free. It is creamier non-dairy substitue which is made from yellow split peas. Unlike cow milk, Pea milk has a silky, creamyand ight texture and a chalky after taste. Home made Cashew Milk

Put t in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours. Blend the cashews with 2 cups of water until smooth and creamy. Add 2 cups of water and blend for a minute till it reaches a smooth consistency. Strain this mixture through a cheese cloth. Squeeze as much milk as possible while the pulp is left in the cheese cloth. The pulp can be used for cereals and health bars. It has a few nutrients that can be used rather than wasting it. Store the milk in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week. There are a few places that serve lactose free and vegan beverages in Mumbai if you want to skip all the hassle work: Starbucks provides a few alternatives to milk like almond and soy milk.
